Mobile app development
YORD designs and builds mobile apps, from the first screen to a launched product. The team plans the user flow, builds the app with software engineers and prepares it for store release. Each app starts with the features users need first. One team can build the app and the back end it uses, so both ship together.

What we build
- A user flow and a clickable design for the first version
- The app build, with the platform choice agreed during scoping
- Sign-in, user accounts and the core screens of your product
- Connections to your back end, payments or other services, where in scope
- Testing on real devices before each release
- Store listing preparation, release builds and submission support
- Crash reporting and handover of the app source code
Who this is for
- You have an app idea and need a scoped first version for users
- You have a web product and want a mobile app that uses the same accounts and data
- Your current app crashes, runs slowly or is hard to change
- You need an app built and released by the same team that runs the back end
How it runs
Idea
We define the first version, the users and the features that must ship.
Design
We design the user flow and the screens, and test them with you before the build.
Build
We build the app in short steps, and each step runs on the real devices you name.
Launch
We prepare the store listing, submit the release and watch crash reports after it goes live.
Grow
We plan the next release with you, based on what users report and how they use the app.
Questions about this service
How much does a mobile app cost to build?
The cost depends on the screens, the back-end work and the number of platforms. YORD states the price in writing before work starts, with the scope it covers. Ask for the scope and the price together, so you can compare them with other quotes.
Does YORD publish the app to the app stores?
YORD can prepare the release and support the submission to the app stores. Each store sets its own review rules, so approval and timing depend on the store, not on YORD. YORD handles the store listing and release steps that are in scope, and it reports any review issues with you.
Can the app use our existing website accounts?
Yes, the app can connect to your existing accounts and back end. The team first checks how your current system handles sign-in and data. Sign-in can reuse your existing accounts when your back end supports it, which the review confirms.
Which platforms does the app support?
The platform choice is made during planning, based on your users and the features the app needs. Each platform is tested on real devices before release. The scope names the platforms covered, and any later platform is separate work. Each platform follows its own design rules, so the app feels native on each one.
Who maintains the app after launch?
The handover includes the source code, build steps and documentation, so your team can maintain the app. Bug fixes and updates for new operating system versions are a separate choice, and their terms are stated in the proposal. Your engineers can release a new build by following the handover notes.
